Our Mission

The Longest Table is an event which seeks to bring together members of the North Allegheny community around food – specifically time-honored, family heirloom recipes, to honor their specific cultures. As organizers, we hope to use the food as a vehicle for authentic conversations wherein people can appreciate, understand, and value cultures other than their own.



We are inviting students from North Allegheny, along with their families (and even grandparents) to sit at – quite literally – a really long table, in order to embody the idea of inclusive conversation.



For the 2024 event, we plan to honor the 75th anniversary of the North Allegheny School District as well as donate extra proceeds from the event to the Make a Wish Foundation!

Event lasts from: 6-8:30 PM
Arrive between 5:30 and 6.


Registration

There is no cost for attendance. Families may choose to bring their own dish for the event (suggested serving size: 12).

Registration closes April 29th.


Parking

Parking is available at the NAI Parking Lot.


Cancellations

Please email contact.longesttablena@gmail.com with cancellations at least 24 hours prior to the event. We would like to ensure very few empty seats and uneaten meals due to no-shows.
